Welcome my humble friends, to the Sweet Little Fairies homepage.
Many Magical little beings inhabit this page, so it may take a while to load, please be patient.
A good time to watch fairies is on the Festival of St. John. (Also called Midsummer's Eve.) My family and I have celebrated this Magical holiday for a couple years now. My mom and I spend about two days cooking up a storm. We bake lavender cookies, a vanilla cake with pink frosting, blueberries and rose petals, crystallized mint leaves,(which are yummy) and a whole bunch of other goodies and such. We fill a punch bowl with fruit punch, pineapple juice, orange soda and sprite, with rainbow sherbert. A delicious combination of things! After we're finished eating, we usually burn certain herbs in our bonfire as offerings.
Where I live, after sundown if you look out
into the forest you can see a bunch of different multicolored sparkles and flashes of
light. It's really fascinating. You can really feel the magic in the air.
After the party is over we leave a plate of
food out for the wood spirits, fairies and elves. When we wake up in the morning and we
rush outside to see what's left. There's usually little crumbs everywhere, and if you look
close enough, you can see little hand and footprints.
If you want to make your Midsummer's party
look really nice, go out and pick some different wildflowers.(Just make sure that they
aren't endangered.) If you want to, you can use some white frilly tableclothes on your
tables. They add a nice touch.
Sorry, these are all the graphics that I have... For now. Don't fret though 'cause I'll have this page filled and finished pretty soon.
Just to be cautious, some of the graphics I used to decorate this page aren't all mine. As soon as I get my claws on the names of those who have made the animated icons and graphic cutouts, I will give credit where credit is due. I promise. I appreciate you dropping in.
May the spirits be with you.
